The Scripture

Psalm 68:3 NIV

But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.

The Passage

To be righteous is to align your life in accordance with the Word of God. It’s an all-encompassing perspective of your demeanor, thoughts, and actions reflecting God’s law.

It’s important to remember that this alignment is a daily practice—a choice. This doesn’t mean we have to be perfect; in fact, it means the opposite. It means admitting that we can’t save ourselves, lean on our own understanding, and ability. When you truly surrender your life to Jesus and allow Him to change your heart, mind, and soul, you will experience joy like no other.

Sometimes it’s hard to read scriptures like this if you aren’t feeling particularly happy.
